PROPHETIC ROAR

PROPHETIC ROAR

Amos 3:7-9 (NIV) “Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets. “The lion has roared—who will not fear? The Sovereign Lord has spoken—who can but prophesy?

The Power of Prophecy

What a great description of the power of prophecy. God releases His divine plans, purposes, blueprints and intentions for His people through a power Holy Spirit gift of prophecy. Prophecy through trueprophets reveals God’s mind and heartbeat. In other words, God will not act on the behalf of man unless it is prophesied, spoken or uttered through those who He has authorized to speak—the prophets. We now have access to the Holy Spirit who is the consultant, helper and counselor. We all have the ability to hear God through the Holy Spirit. We don’t substitute prophets for the Holy Spirit overall purpose of being sent. God is a prophetic spirit who framed the worlds into existence through the power of words (Heb. 11:3). Prophets are still relevant today as it was in the past. Jesus is the same today as He was 1970 years ago (Heb. 13:7).

He has raised up and utilized the services of prophets and propheticministry throughout time. The Church is not perfected yet, and Jesus said through the Apostle Paul that as long as the Church is imperfect, the offices of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher (‘the five-fold ministry’) will be here (Eph.  4:11-13). The office of prophet is not to be confused with the manifestation of gift of prophesying. While a prophet may prophesy – that is, speak forth or write down inspired words by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit – not all who prophesy areprophets. There is difference between a gift and an office.

In Amos 3:8 states, “The lion hath roared, who will not fear?”  This entails that as the lion’s roars it forces the hearer to fear, so is the sovereign call of the prophet which forces him/her to prophesy (Jeremiah 20:9Ezekiel 2:81 Corinthians 9:16). Amos takes into account his own experience, as a shepherd in the wilderness of Tekoa, having often times hearing lion roars, which caused him to fear, both for himself, and the cattle he tended to. “The Lord God hath spoken, who can but prophesy…?” When the Lord speaks it is likened to a lion’s roar and who can but not respond to the power of His voice. The lion’s roar speaks of the authority, power and strength of God’s word that demands a response. The prophetic function signifies “the speaking forth of the mind and counsel of God” (pro, “forth,” phemi, “to speak”). Prophecy is to edify, to exhort, and to comfort (1 Corinthians 14:3).

When “the lion roars,” none can help but “fear,” so when the King communicates His prophetic message whether its blessings, His will, mind, intent and judgment, the prophet cannot but prophesy and the hearer cannot but obey. The prophetic is so needed in today’s society.Prophecy is God’s idea! And not man’s idea or the churches. Throughout the Bible God used prophets to convey His desire. The Bible says that we can desire spiritual gifts but especially to prophesy (I Cor. 14:39). We are in a season of another outpouring and wave of God’s spirit. Joel 2:28 NLT, “Then, after doing all those things, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions.”

Roar out of Zion (Zion Lions)

Prophet Joel spoke of a day that he saw God’s prophetic spirit being poured out (See, Joel 2:28). It was God’s prophetic spirit being released that everyone was prophesying regardless of age, race, gender or background on the Day of Pentecost. God wants to restore theprophetic power, strength and authority through true prophets today. There is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah in you ready to be awakened toROAR that will shake, call to attention and bless your church, family, city, region, community, nation and generation.

Naturally lions do not generally roar when they are on the hunt as this will warn their prey of their whereabouts. On any given night a lion can be heard roaring 7 to 8km away. The strength and tone of theirroar can be heard several miles away. Lion roars are not only used to proclaim, establish and mark their sphere of territory but also to rally cry of any straying members of their pride. Likewise in the body of Christ. The Lord  is raising up apostolic prophets, churches and ministries that are established by heaven to mark their territory for Christ and cause the enemies of God to scatter but also summoning their unique tribe who will be assembled by kingdom leadership through the five-fold ministry.

The apostles and prophets working as a tandem to advance the purposes of the King and His Kingdom. Prophets will prophesy boldly against any injustice, perversion, error, deception, confusion, and anything that is contrary to the Word and will of God. Their propheticroar will be heard and resounded in the earth for other to hear and to respond. The Bible says in Psalm 19:3-4 “There is no speech, nor are there words; Their voice is not heard and their line has gone out through all the earth, And their utterances to the end of the world. In them He has placed a tent for the sun.”

Your Roar will be Heard!

I like what this passage of Scripture entails in Psalm 19:3-4, because it stated that there is no speech, nor are there words, speaking of their voice will not be heard and their line has gone out through all the earth. Let me put it like this; that there will be no language barriers andprophetic word release by God’s prophets and prophetic believers that will be likened unto a lion’s roar that will not be heard and their rule of authority, sphere of influence and voice will reached and heard to the nations. God wants to give sound to the roar within you! He want to give voice to the roar of victory, and praise (Judah) resident in you. Your prophetic roar will shake everything that can be shaken around you.

Furthermore, a lion or tiger can roar as loud as 114 decibels, about 25 times louder than a gas-powered lawn mower. The cats are also aided by the strength of their vocal folds, which can withstand stretching and shearing as air moves past them and the folds vibrate. I believe God is going to break the spirit of fear off of His people and especially His modern day prophets and apostles. He is going to give them a righteous cry, righteous boldness and spiritual authority to speak out His decrees, purposes and will in the earth. The noise of life will not muzzle the voice God is raising up in every generation. God will dismantle the spirit of Jezebel that attacks and tries to silence theprophets from speaking. God is reassembling His prophets, apostles and kingdom believers to their kingdom tribe and pack called the Church. There is a unique remnant, group of people that God has chosen for this time and generation to do great exploits!

The lion is the only big cat that lives in a large group or ‘pride’, with as many as 40 individuals, primarily female and cubs. They can get their water from plants and prey and go as long as days without drinking. An adult lion’s roar can be heard up to five miles (eight kilometers) away.

A lion’s roar can be heard up to 5 miles (8 kilometers) away, according to the National Zoo. A male lion’s mane protects it when it fights. At short distances, lions can run 50 mph (80 kph). Moreover, a lion can even jump as far as about 36 feet (11 m). We are in a time of aprophetic shift and there is a drastic change in momentum. God is amplifying the voices and roars of His prophetic people. He is crowning them with “new glory” which will symbolize a new mane in the spirit to protect this new realm of authority in Christ and new place of influence, power, grace and anointing.

The New Testament Greek word for “glory” is the word (doxa) which its first definition means “opinion.” Prophets and prophetic people will utter and speak forth prophetically the opinions of the Lord and not of man or themselves. The opinions of God will reveal His mind, will and intentions in the life of the believer and His glorious church. The glory (doxa) opinions of the Lord will be revealed through propheticutterance through His mouthpiece via the Holy Spirit. When we speak His mind, we will see and perceive His glory manifesting among us. I believe prophetically that we are in what I call a “quantum leap” season. God is about to allow His people to redeem  and accelerate the time that they have lost. This is “catch up” season. This is a leap year for those who has been faith to the call and purposes of God.

This year God is going to cause His people to jump and leap as far the can into their destinies. Like a lion their leap spiritually will be just as strong and far as their roar! Your prophetic destiny will meet at the place your feet will land because of your leap of faith. The Apostle Paul asked and pray to God for boldness. Let’s look at what the Apostle Paul said in Ephesians 6:19 “…And pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel.” We can see that boldness can be prayed for and boldness is what we going to be required to do great things for the Lord in our generation. Boldness, humility and faith is required to achieve maximum results for Christprophetically!

Righteous Boldness

Proverbs 28:1 “The wicked flee when no one is pursuing, But the righteous are bold as a lion.”

What does it mean the righteous boldness? In Proverbs when it says that “the wicked flee when no one is pursuing,” and, “the righteous are bold as a lion,” it does not mean or entails that there isn’t any bold wicked people in the world that we live, or that there will be no times when the righteous become afraid or timid. Generally speaking that there is something in particular about wickedness or bold wicked people that tends to leads to fear and there is something about righteousness or righteous people that tends to leads to boldness.

One of the many reasons we know this is found, for example, in Proverbs 14:16 when it says that the fool “rages and is bold”( which is the same Hebrew word used here for what the righteous does—they’re bold as a lions). In some of our more contemporary Bible versions translate the word “careless” or “unconcerned”—“the fool rages and is careless.” The verse in general means that it may be possible for a fool who has no knowledge and belief in God, let alone in the message of the kingdom or Gospel, to act in a bold and reckless way, while at the same time risk their own lives. God is raising up righteous leaders that will act in a bold and careful way.

The righteous will not act as the wicked or fools but be bold in speaking forth truth that will bring the reverential fear of the Lord to the hearer to respond to Him in total surrender. The prophetic roar will bring a Holy Spirit conviction and reconciliation to the Lord. It will be a roar cry of righteousness, peace and joy that will summons those who are the beloved. The prophetic roar will contain a righteous cry to bring repentance to whole cities, regions and nations. Lions use theirroar to established their presence in a territory as well as warn their intruders or violators. God is going to use His people prophetically likeroaring lions out His church to ward off any demonic encroachments and violators. Jesus is building His Church in the earth and in every territory to smash the gates of hades so that they will not prevail against His church (Read, Matt. 16:18).

Why the Tribe of Judah?

While looking at the life of one of Jacob’s sons named Judah and his character, it is hard to see why the tribe of Judah should become so prominent among the tribes of Israel. The dreamer himself, Joseph lived a righteous life before the Lord and name means “increase, multiplier and he will add” was blessed with the birthright in place of Reuben, the firstborn. Joseph was blessed and his two sons were blessed Ephraim and Mannesah.  Jacob released a prophetic charge androar to all of his 12 sons at the end of his life concerning his sons’ descendants “in the latter days” reveals a special blessing for the tribe of Judah (Genesis 49:1, 8-10).

In speaking prophetically to one of his sons which is of the tribe of Judah, Jacob declared to him by saying, “Judah, you are he whom your brothers shall praise; your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies; your father’s children shall bow down before you. Judah is a lion’s whelp; from the prey, my son, you have gone up. He bows down, he lies down as a lion; and as a lion, who shall rouse him? The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes; and to Him shall be the obedience of the people”(Genesis 49:8-10).

In this passage God looked at Judah as a strong warrior and likened him to a young lion sleeping in its den after devouring its prey. Perhaps it was this strength of character and determination that God foresaw in this tribe that influenced Him to choose Judah to be His lawgiver and the tribe from which His Son would later be born (Hebrews 7:14).

More with you than against you

2 Kings 6:-15-17 “Now when the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Then Elisha prayed and said, “O LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” And the LORD opened the servant’s eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha”

Exodus 20:19-21 “Then they said to Moses, “Speak to us yourself and we will listen; but let not God speak to us, or we will die. “Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid; for God has come in order to test you, and in order that the fear of Him may remain with you, so that you may not sin.” So the people stood at a distance, while Moses approached the thick cloud where God was.”

Prophets prophesying like roaring lions!

Amos 3:7-8 “Surely the Lord GOD does nothing Unless He reveals His secret counsel To His servants the prophets. A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord GOD has spoken! Who can but prophesy?…”
